Freediving – Two Cenotes

Freediving – Two Cenotes

Description

We are home to the greatest number of cenotes in the world. The best part is no cavern is the same! While some are great for dynamic apnea to see the light breaking through the halocline. Others are better to go deeper to see the different speleothem or even the mysterious effects of the hydrogen sulphide layers with vegetation at the bottom.

Our guide will make sure you not miss out on the highlights and will take you to two totally different realms to discover. So, if one breath is not enough, make the most of your visit and explore the diverse Maya Blue heritage!

Schedule

Freediving two cenotes is usually a full day program.

Wherever you stay in the area of Playa del Carmen to Tulum, our staff will pick you up from the reception or a close agreed meeting point (occasionally due to inaccessibility at resorts).

Your instructor will provide a thorough briefing and presentation at Maya Blue (or cenote) concerning freediving and buddy-procedures, safety, cenote regulation, history and any points of interest.

After everything is crystal and you’ll have a good understanding what you can expect, we will provide transportation to go to the cenote.

We insist on small groups and have private vehicles available, to avoid overcrowded mini-vans.

Arrived at the cenote, your guide will show you around the jungle area, cenote facilities and the points of easy entry and exit.

Once in the water, just enjoy while the guide will show you the beauty of the cenote.

There will be opportunity to enjoy the (included) lunch and beverages. After the lunch you will have some free time at the cenote.

Finally, after a full day of exploring the cenote our guide will drive you back to your accommodation.

You will arrive at your accommodation around 17.00 PM to reflect on a beautiful day with Maya Blue.
